This hike takes us from Newfound gap all the way out to Charlies bunion, one of the most scenic points in the entire national park. Charlies bunion is an exposed ridge line, running all the way down to the Greenbriar valley. Views of Mount Leconte and the valley beyond are the reward for the journey. The trip begins by meeting your guide at Newfound gap, where we will begin our hike north along the Appalachian Trail. The trip is immersive in its history and rich in high altitude vegetation! A guide favorite!

Abrams falls/ cades cove loop

*abrams falls, one of the most scenic waterfalls in the park

The Abrams falls route takes us on a drive through Cades Cove prior to entry into the backcountry. Cades Cove is rich in history and is maintained in perpetuity by the National Park Service. The drive in will take us past historic cabins, barns, and churches that the original settlers used on a daily basis. Once we arrive at the trailhead we enter into the Abrams Creek watershed. If you love water this trip is for you! We follow the trail over a ridgeline and descend upon the banks of the creek. We will follow its meandering path until we reach Abrams falls, the highlight of the trip. This area is rich in wildlife, particularly salamanders!

This hike is the best day hike in the Smoky Mountains! A full day with plenty of challenges and rewards, this hike is the gem of Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The hike begins by meeting your guide at the Cosby Campground parking lot for outfitting and preparation. We enter the backcountry with ascent, ascent and more ascent; eventually intersecting with the Appalachian trail. Once on the AT we follow undulating ridgelines surrounded by breathtaking views until we reach the Mt. Cammerer fire outpost. This is the perfect mid day stop to eat and recuperate after an invigorating hike. We conclude our day by descending back to our meeting point.
